About

What is Quiromassage?

Quiromassage is a specialised form of massage therapy that was developed in Spain by Dr. Vicente Lino Ferrándiz García in 1920: it consists of a set of techniques that are used by a therapist to manually manipulate the soft tissues of the body, such as skin, muscles, fatty tissues, tendons, and ligaments. The word Quiromassage is based on the Spanish word “Quiromasaje”, which combines “masaje” (massage) with “quiros.” The “quiros” part originates from the Greek word “kheir,” which means "hand".

Quiromassage can help you:

  • Relax and stimulate your muscles, nerves, blood vessels, and lymphatic system

  • Reduce muscle tension, pain, muscle contractures, spasms, stress and anxiety

  • Improve blood circulation, nervous system, sleep quality, mental health, athletic performance

  • Treat various conditions such as lumbago, sciatica, arthritis, fatigue and more

Quiromassage can be combined with other techniques such as aromatherapy, acupressure, lymphatic drainage, hot stones, etc.

Based on your needs and goals, you can opt for a 35-minute localised treatment or a 60-minute full-body massage treatment. I will assess the state of your condition and adjust the treatment to suit you.

About me

Hi! I'm Patricia, and I'm a Quiromassage therapist. I have been a practitioner of this amazing form of massage therapy for 12 years, and I have worked in various settings, such as spas, massage centres, and private practice.

I discovered Quiromassage when I was living in Spain, where I studied at ISED (Higher Institute of Studies) and obtained my qualification as a Quiromassage Specialist in 2011. I was amazed by the benefits of Quiromassage, and decided to dedicate myself to helping others feel better through this holistic therapy. I’m accredited by International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine IPHM and Federation of Holistic Therapists FHT, and insured.

I also acquired a range of massage skills within the Quiromassage courses, such as sports massage, deep tissue massage, anti-stress massage and lymphatic drainage techniques. In addition, I obtained a qualification for hot stone massage in Aberdeen with Scottish Beauty Expert Training Academy, which I can blend with Quiromassage techniques to provide a more complete and personalised service.

My goal is to provide you with a massage treatment that meets your needs and preferences, using different techniques and pressures to achieve the best results. Whether you need to relieve stress, tension, pain or injury, or simply want to pamper yourself, I am here to help you.

I believe that Quiromassage is more than just a massage, it is a way of caring for the body and mind with the hands. I invite you to experience the benefits of Quiromassage for yourself and discover how it can improve your quality of life.
